Roof Snow Is Heavy At Times

Roof snow can be extremely heavy at times, and especially when the temperature is above 32 degrees Fahrenheit.

Even Zeus above had a roof razor snow blade to shave with in the morning after a large snowfall.I assure you it was sharper than a Gillete Trac II Plus..because removing ice dams from a roof needs a razor sharp roof rake.

Most of us ponder on roof shoveling because it is extremely hard work at times, and it comes down to how much snow, and how wet it is.

The most important thing is to at least get the bottom 2-3 feet off a roof,so it melts more efficiently, and helps to some degree not making an ice dam near the gutters.

It's maybe not a bad idea removing the gutters all together in the fall, and replacing them in early spring.I know that not an option for alot of us,but it's an otion some do,to prevent ice dams.

I'll be discussing roof snow in a variety of ways in this blog.
